The key to a successful relationship with your dog is TRAINING!
Training is not only about having a better behaved pet in your house.
It is also about creating a bond with your best friend and learning all about each other.
At Lucky Paws, we have a variety of trainers on our staff.
Each one has a different educational background and brings a different perspective and style to the department.
We offer a variety of options for your training needs.
Group classes provide a great opportunity to expose your dog to new situations, new people, and other dogs. You will learn effective communication skills and solutions to frustrating behavior problems. Many classes will also cover educational topics such as first-aid, grooming, nutrition, and socialization. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class!
Weekly obedience classes have set dates, and each class covers a specific topic. Some classes will offer optional make-up classes at no extra charge. If you feel that you will miss more than 2 sessions though, it is not advised to sign up for a class. No refunds will be given for any reason! Your best option may be to explore one of our other training choices.

Activity-based training is growing more and more popular! Events are not only a ton of fun, they provide exercise and mental stimulation while strengthening the bond between dog and owner.
Examples include Agility classes, Iron Dog/weight pulling and Clicker/Trick training. These types of classes are charged per session. Watch the News & Events section for dates and times!
Stay and Train |

| During your dog's boarding stay, one of our trainers will spend an hour (broken into 15 to 20 minute sessions) working with your dog on basic obedience. We recommend a minimum of 4 to 6 sessions. You will receive a report card at the end of 4 sessions, and you will also have the opportunity to meet with the trainer for a quick lesson! | |
Play and Train |
$40 |
| Make training fun! This is our most popular training option because your dog rotates between playing and training for a balance of fun and work. The price includes one hour of training (broken into 15 to 20 minute sessions) combined with a 1/2 day at daycare. Dogs must be approved for daycare and meet the daycare requirements! We recommend a minimum of 4 to 6 sessions. | |
This program is a fantastic option for just about any dog!
Whether you are looking to get training started off on the right paw with a new puppy, have a dog that needs intense focus on a certain area,
or simply want to take your dog's training to the next level - leave it in Vince's hands!
Your dog will board in the area's finest dog hotel and spend each day training with our training director.
In addition, you can schedule playtimes and relaxing massages during your dog's stay. It's like a health spa!
Owners will need to speak with Vince about training goals in advance. Training records will be given at the end,
and owners must attend a mandatory Private Lesson before taking their dog home.
A minimum of two weeks is required, and additional weeks can be purchased if desired.
The length of stay will vary depending on your desired goals and the ability of the dog.

| We will come to your home and show you step by step how to successfully potty-train your dog. If the owner makes the commitment required, it will work! This is a one time fee. | |
Personal/Family Protection |

| If you think your dog has what it takes to be a canine guardian, schedule an appointment with Vince.
A properly trained protection dog is not a liability but a reliable asset - taught when to show aggression and when not to.
Dogs will be thoroughly evaluated for proper temperament and physical makeup. |
