This is a stand-alone test date for dog and handler teams who are prepared to take the official AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification test. Teams enrolling should have already taken and excelled in basic level training classes and be ready for the test. While there is no guarantee that a dog will pass, all teams will receive a valuable and realistic test experience.
Please note that a minimum of three teams must register for the test to be officially administered.
If you feel you need to review the required skills beforehand, a one-hour private refresher lesson can be scheduled separately with the CGC evaluator for an additional fee. For more information on booking a private lesson, please inquire directly with the Training Manager.
The indoor Dog Park will be closed to the public until testing is complete, should it run into normal weekend park hours.
- Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations required as well as a negative fecal including Giardia testing
